I just saw this as I was looking at quilting blogs. I have been using thinsulate batting for many years and always buy it on the bolt. I love its tacky feel because it doesn't slip when quilting by hand.
I have heard that 3m was making quilt sized battings but I am living in Japan and they are not sold here as yet.
